Model of a 70-Gun Ship of the Line

Rigged frame model of a ship with furled sails, highly detailed. All but one of the guns are missing; sixty-eight gunports distributed over three decks. Five levels: cow bridge, lower deck, middle deck, and louse platform, quarterdeck and half-deck with walkways, upper cabin with oval stern windows, all decks with gunports. The figurehead is a crowned lion, the stern knees are decorated with carving of tritons and dolphins, the forecastle has two semi-circular towers. Twisted stern, hollow wulf with two ports, two-deck stern with carving of vines, allegorical figures and an empty coat of arms; two-deck side galleries with carving of vines, tritons and fish tails. Straight rudder with square rudder head and towing lamps, windlass on the lower deck, steering wheel on the half-deck. The model is equipped with three anchors, two double capstans, a double anchor bitt and a pump cistern on the lower deck, a galley under the quarterdeck. One skin gang can be removed.
