About this work

Rigged block model. Twenty-four gunports on the middle deck; three levels: lower deck, middle deck, lashing platform and forecastle deck and half-deck with small cabin. The figurehead is a lion, the stern is decorated with carving of mermaids. Twisted stern and hollow wale with two ports. Stern of a storey with sliding windows and decorated with carving of classical figures, armorial trophies and a coat of arms with a dog flanked by two putti; side galleries of a storey with carving and portrait medallions of a man and a woman. Straight rudder with square rudder post, steering wheel on the half-deck. The model is equipped with an anchor, double anchor bitts, two double capstans and a galley with Y-shaped chimney. The sheer rises slightly towards both ends. two bark masts and a sprit. Framed round frame. The model has a three-masted rig with all sails, the mizzenmast has a yard. Scale 1:48 (derived).
