About this work
Model of a double capstan in a wooden frame with three levels. Both drums are for nine windlasses, the lower one has four pawls at the foot against backsliding. The drums are connected with a thick wooden king, which extends to the lower level where it stands with a pin in a track. The drums each have six teeth in the shape of a shallow Z. Scale 1:20 (estimate).
