Model of a 74-Gun Ship of the Line

Extensively detailed construction model of the hull in two stacked halves, with removable round timber. Seventy-four gunports distributed over three decks; five decks in total, fully armed and equipped with many fittings, some parts numbered. On the elaborately worked stern, a crowned lion as figurehead, four toilets, a sea horse and fish between the bilge knees. Twisted stern and hollow wulf with two ports, quarterdeck and side gallery of two tiers, entirely decorated with carving of allegorical figures, foliage and trophies. Straight rudder fitted with lifting straps, with square rudder post and holes for two rudder pintles; steering wheel on the half-deck before the mizzenmast. Stem rises at both ends, two wales and two keelsons. Round underwater hull. All resting blocks with juffer blocks are fitted. Scale approx. 1:33 (derived).
