Model of an East Indiaman in Camels

Frame model of the hull of an East Indiaman on camels. Eighty-four gunports distributed over three decks. Four levels: lower deck, middle deck, orlop deck and louse deck and half-deck, upper deck, all without floorboards. The figurehead is a lion, the crane beam on starboard is lower than that on port. Twisted stern with one port on port, hollow wulf with two ports, quarterdeck of two tiers with carving of pilasters, plant motifs, mythological figures (Neptune and Mercury) in the corners and the coats of arms of Amsterdam and the Chamber of the VOC in Amsterdam; side galleries of two tiers with carving. Straight rudder with square rudder post, lifting straps, windlass on the lower deck, steering wheel under the upper deck before the mizzenmast. The model is equipped with a mechanical ventilator on the lower deck, a double anchor bed, a pump and a galley under the orlop deck and a windlass and two pumps under the half-deck.
