Tackle Board and Sledge for Rope Making

Two carts that together form a rope-making workshop. One is for stretching the strands, the other for the actual rope-making. Both have a rectangular body on four wheels with a built-in drawer. The cart for stretching the strands has a gear mechanism for five strands: a large gear wheel that drives four small gear wheels in the corners is operated with a crank. The hooks to which the strands are attached are mounted on the axles of the gear wheels, and the gear mechanism ensures that the outer four rotate faster than the middle one, which moreover rotates in the opposite direction. The other cart has only one hook, where the movement of the crank is transmitted via two gear wheels.
