About this work

Model of a section of two decks with anchor bitt and two hatches on the upper deck. The aft hatch serves as a cable port. The port side of the model is arranged for the anchor chain, the bitt is sheathed in copper, and the corner of the cable port is reinforced; the starboard side is for ordinary anchor rope. The chain on the port side is secured on the bitt and in the cable port with chain stoppers, consisting of a lever held down by a tackle. Rope stoppers are fitted on the deck. Scale 1:20.
