About this work

Right: cannon lock (flintlock) with brass housing and iron lock mechanism, trigger, cock, frizzen and tail bolt with wing nut. The cock has two sets of lips, which can be rotated to a bolt with a wing nut: it is fitted for two flints, in case one became unusable. The lock is mounted by the tail bolt through the highest decorative band. The pan and frizzen are extended. The trigger has a lanyard.
