About this work
Right: flintlock cannon lock with brass casing and iron lock mechanism, cock and pan cover. The lock is mounted with a pin in the lock support and a bolt through it transversely. The pan has a hole through which the spark is directed to the touchhole. The trigger has a pull cord, which runs upwards through a heavy ring.
