About this work
Wooden box with a compass rose belonging to an azimuth compass. The compass rose is printed on green paper; the degree division, in four quadrants, is in mirror writing for reading with the prismatic sight. The compass rose has a metal rim on which the degrees are divided into 20'. Two compass roses can be stored in the wooden box under two metal clamps with the magnetic poles oriented so that the magnetic properties are optimally preserved.
