About this work

Flintlock pistol, part of a pair, with a round smooth barrel interrupted by three profile bands, a brass sight bead at the end of the barrel, and the name 'LONDON' engraved at the beginning. Wooden stock with carved leaf motifs. Iron round lock plate with engraved depictions of flags and leaves; on the left of the lock plate the letters 'E.L.G.' are engraved. Walnut stock with carved leaf motifs and a brass butt plate with engraved leaves. Brass furniture on the left side of the stock. The trigger guard is brass with leaf-shaped ends. Iron trigger. The ramrod is wooden with a brass tip.
