About this work

Pistol with flintlock, part of a pair. Slightly engraved round barrel, marked. The barrel is fitted for rear-loading via a screw closure with a large spool. Lock plate marked: BIDET. Relieved brass side plate. Little-worked stock. Brass furniture in relief and engraved. Rotating knob controlling the screw closure. No ramrod. The engraved coat of arms of Van Schuylenburg on the palm rest. System 'La Chonnette'. The pistols come from the great-grandfather of Van Schuylenburg or his brother.
