About this work
Under the leadership of Captain Abraham Scheerenberg, Orange-supporting rioters are driven out of the Town Hall and from the Dam, 9 November 1747. In the occupied Town Hall, a demonstrant throws a rage-bolt out of the window, which is a mocking reference to the rod carried by the sheriff. In the middle the New Church and to the right part of the Waag.
