About this work
Portrait medallion of John Law as Mr. Quinquempoix above a brewing kettle in which coins are transformed into shares. Witch's cauldron with devils, owls, etc. Above the portrait the personification of Folly with a crown of peacock feathers and holly leaves. Above this a scroll with: Of Stront or King. This print printed within a larger print with title and verses in Dutch on both sides. Print 37 in the series Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
