About this work
Esther is crowned queen by King Ahasuerus on the left. In the foreground three men are watching, probably the man in the middle is Esther's foster father Mordechai, who asks how Esther is doing. In the background it can be seen how Esther is led to the king. Below the scene a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Est. 2:17. This print is part of an album.
