About this work
Jonah walks the streets of Nineveh and proclaims the destruction of the city because of idolatry. The inhabitants and the animals of Nineveh kneel on the ground and beg God repentantly for forgiveness. Even the king throws himself on the ground. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series on penance and repentance in the Old and New Testaments.
