About this work

Mercury rides in his chariot through the sky, drawn by two roosters. The signs of Virgo and Gemini indicate which people belong to the sphere of influence of Mercury. People born under this zodiac sign are learned and artistic. Around a table sit scientists, astrologers, a merchant, and a doctor. On the left people make music at an organ. On the right a sculptor and painter are at work. At the bottom in the margin a text in Latin about the children of Mercury. This print is part of an album.
