About this work

The sun god Sol rides in his chariot through the sky, drawn by two horses. The sign of Leo indicates which people belong to the sphere of influence of Sol. People born under this zodiac sign engage in sporting activities. Below them people engage in sword fighting, wrestling, doing a handstand, ball games, and acrobatics. They are watched by a royal couple on a balcony. At the bottom in the margin a text in Latin about the children of Sol. This print is part of an album.
