About this work
Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it a medallion with on the front the portrait of Pietro Barbarigo with a bishop's mitre. On the back the ecclesiastical Council of Trent. The pedestal is flanked by the personifications of Envy and Heresy. They are women with emaciated bodies. The woman in the front left holds a hand to her mouth. On the right smoke comes from the mouth of a woman. Along with some books from which snakes are crawling. The print is part of an album.
