About this work

Jonah stands on the shoreline looking at God, who lies on a cloud. God orders Jonah to go to Nineveh. At the quay wall lies the ship from which Jonah fled. On the water, it is shown how Jonah is later thrown overboard and swallowed by a fish. Explanatory text in Latin below the image. This print is part of an album.
