About this work
Two young actors, Ichikawa Ebizô VI, later Danjûrô VIII (1823-54) and another Ichikawa actor, play the famous scene from the Soga brothers drama, in which Soga no Gorô Tokimune breaks the armor of Asashina Saburô. In the cartouche, actor Ichikawa Danjûrô VII (1791-1859) looks at his sons. Accompanied by two poems.
