About this work

Illustration of the twelfth article of faith (eternal life) of the Apostles' Creed. An angel has carried John the Evangelist to a mountaintop and shows him the New Jerusalem. John writes everything down in the Book of Revelation. Jerusalem has twelve gates, guarded by twelve angels. The Good Shepherd walks with his lambs towards the gates. God and the Holy Spirit appear in the clouds, along with some angels. Above the scene a reference to the Bible text in Revelation 21:3. Below the scene two Bible texts and the twelfth article of faith from the Apostles' Creed in Latin. This print is part of an album.
