About this work

Woman dressed in a 'circassienne' of taffeta with ribbon bands. Skirt of a different color decorated with pleated tulle and three large bands of ribbon in different colors. Accessories: pleated cap decorated with ribbon, corsage, walking stick with tassels, chatelaines, shoes with heels and buckles. Copy after V 126 from series V. 21e Cahier des Costumes Français, 15e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode en 1779, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
