About this work
Englishwoman in a yellow japon with train and a blue skirt. A long scarf draped over the shoulders and waist, trimmed with a ruffled strip. Accessories: hairband in the hair, long gloves, stockings, heeled shoes. The print is part of the 20th Cahier from Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 – 21 December 1789.
