The merciless servant stands in an open room before the king's throne and must account for his behavior. His debts had been forgiven by the king, but subsequently he had put another servant in prison because that servant owed him something. The king is angry because the servant did not show mercy as he did. On the table are cash books and an inkstand. In the foreground a dog.
