Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Patrick at an opening in a rock from which fire and demons come, top right Saint Gertrude kneeling at a coast, bottom left the Archangel Gabriel with a lily in his hand, bottom right Saint Edward the Martyr on horseback being stabbed through. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
