Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Ladislaus as a king and military leader before his troops, top right Saint Potamioena and her mother Marcella on the pyre, bottom left the apostles Peter with keys and Paul with sword standing next to each other, bottom right Saint Martialis of Limoges as a bishop at a large fire. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
