Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Abundius of Cordoba being attacked by two men with turbans on their heads, top right Saint John Gualbert kneeling before a cross with an image of Christ leaning towards John, bottom left Saint Marciana being attacked by a bull in an arena, bottom right Saint Pope Anacletus opposite a group of listeners. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
