Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Philibertus of Jumièges calming a storm at sea, top right Saint Privatus of Gévaudan being beaten to death by three men, bottom left Saint Symphorianus of Autun being taken away by some men, bottom right Saint Philippus Benitius in habit with book and cross. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
