Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Callistratus riding on two dolphins, top right Saint Cyprianus of Antioch and Saint Justina of Nicomedia with devils around them, bottom left Saint Cosmas and Saint Damianus as a married couple (!) each holding an arrow, bottom right Saint Eleazar of Sabran with a lily in his hand and a crown at his feet. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
