Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Ursula of Cologne with her companions being attacked by the Huns, top right Saint Mary Salome with a perfume jar at Golgotha, bottom left Saint Severinus of Cologne who beholds angels in heaven, bottom right Saint Maglorius of Dol who places his mitre on a table. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
