Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription in Latin and subtitle in Latin and French: top left Mary crowned by God and Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit, top right Christ dying on the cross, bottom left the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove above Mary and the apostles, bottom right Christ ascending into heaven above his disciples. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
