About this work

A chariot with the Government as Protector of Tyranny and Freedom of Conscience overruns Tyranny. The chariot is drawn by the personifications of Constancy, Love, Unity, Justice and Faith. The scene surrounded by the coats of arms of cities in South Holland. After the stained-glass window in the St. John's Church in Gouda (designed 1595-1596, installed 1597).
