About this work
The goddess Venus as personification of the planet Venus with attribute a large arrow and balancing on a ball in her hand stands the god of love Amor with arrow and bow. At her feet lie the constellations Libra and Taurus, her planetary children. She stands on a pedestal in an architectural frame decorated with ornaments. In the frieze at the bottom, a star is depicted in a medallion, flanked by playing putti. The print is printed with multiple woodblocks.
