About this work

The goddess Diana as personification of the planet Moon (Luna) with her attributes, an arrow and bow. At her feet lies a crab, referring to the constellation and her planetary child. On her head she wears horns. She stands on a pedestal in an architectural frame decorated with ornaments. In the frieze at the bottom, a crescent moon is depicted in a medallion, flanked by playing putti. The print is printed with multiple woodblocks.
