About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand at his left thigh and bringing his right hand to the end of his ramrod, which he rests against his right side. In his left hand, besides the musket, a match; on his left wrist, a fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
