About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand. With his right hand, he presses a lit match against the pan (part of the ignition mechanism) of his musket. This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
