About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand. In his left hand, besides the musket, a fork (musket fork) and a lit match. With his right hand, he grasps this match. This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
