About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his right hand, the barrel pointing upwards, before placing the weapon on his left shoulder. In his outstretched left hand, a lit match; on his left wrist, a fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
