About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, with a musket (a certain type of firearm) resting on his left shoulder. In his left hand, besides the butt of the musket, a lit match and a fork (musket fork). This is (almost) the same position as the one shown on the second print of the series. This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
