About this work
During the sea voyage to Rome, Paul suffers shipwreck at Malta. In the foreground Paul is bitten by a snake while making a fire. Unharmed, he throws the beast into the fire. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a 34-part series on the Acts of the Apostles.
