About this work
Peace of Westminster, concluded on 19 February 1674, ending the Third Anglo-Dutch War. Central depiction of bonfires and fireworks set off on 14 March 1674 in The Hague to celebrate the peace. Surrounding this are eight smaller scenes of episodes from the declaration of war to the peace negotiations between the Republic and England and the signing of the treaty.
