About this work

Display of the Crowned Peace. Part of the performances held on 23 June 1648 at the Schouwburg in Amsterdam following the signing of the Peace of Münster. The first performance shows the arrival of the triumphal chariot of Peace with Justice and the crowning of Peace by two putti. In the caption a verse of four lines in Dutch. Numbered in pen bottom right: 5.
