A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his left hand. With his right hand, he brings a burning match to his mouth to blow it clean, ca. 1645. Printed on the reverse with text in French. Free after plate 7 in the instructions for handling the musket in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn. Military affairs around 1600.
