Mary gives the breast to Christ while sitting on the donkey during the Flight into Egypt. Joseph leads the donkey. In the background the Massacre of the Innocents in Bethlehem and the legend of the rapidly growing corn. Some soldiers on horseback ask a farmer if he has seen a family pass by. The farmer tells them he saw the family when he sowed the corn. The soldiers then conclude that it must have been a long time ago and they abandon the search.
