Saucer-dish with fluted sides and flowers and shellfish above waves

Bowl of porcelain with ribbed wall and lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black, and gold. On the flat surface a medallion with prunus blossoms and seashells above swirling waves; the wall divided into eight compartments each with the same decoration on the opposite side: lotus scrolls cut out against a red ground, flowering trees with bird and butterfly, a landscape in gold against a bleu poudré (powder blue) ground and treasures (artemisia leaf) with luck symbols (tripod, vase with peacock feathers, scrolls, books, scepter); the back with three floral sprays and three twigs; on the underside a double circle.
