About this work

Strip of Natural-Coloured Bobbin Lace, Old Flemish Lace. The Pattern Consists of a Tangle of Scroll Vines with Numerous Curling Side Branches with Small Mostly Round or Oval-Shaped Flowers and Leaves. The Motifs are Connected by a Picotted Plaited Ground. The Motifs are Made in Linen Stitch with Cutouts and Openwork Edges. The Irregular Shells Along the Lower Side Follow the Curves of the Scroll Vines and are Finished with Picots. The Upper Side is Finished Straight and Also Provided with Picots.
