Strip of bobbin lace with thick curved leaves and three-lobed flowers

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Binche lace. The repeating pattern consists of two thick curved leaves tapering to a point. From each leaf arises a three-lobed flower on a short curved stem. Above the hollow of one of the leaves a four-lobed rosette flower is visible in the not so clearly defined pattern. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and in net stitch. The motifs are connected by an ornamental ground, a coarse snowflake ground. Top and bottom edges are straight finished and a bit frayed due to damage.
