About this work

Strip of natural-coloured lace embroidery: filet lace. Running across the full width are vines that are placed both diagonally and straight. On the diagonal vines are love knots. On each parallelogram a standing, respectively a hanging branch with two transversely oriented cup flowers. The motifs are embroidered in buttonhole stitch technique on a knotted network of square meshes. Top and bottom sides are finished with a straight edge.
