About this work
Engageante of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Brussels bobbin lace. The pattern consists of various flower branches between which scatter flowers. The motifs are connected to each other by a lattice ground, a drochel ground. The engageante has a slightly scalloped border of linked cartouches which are more or less oval in shape and filled with coarser lattice grounds than in the pattern above and some ornamental grounds.
